PSMAR has established a cooperation agreement
with the Autonomous University of Barcelona and
Universitat Pompeu Fabra, signed in 2013, for the
joint development of the studies for the degree in
medicine. The agreement seeks to make the best
possible use of the care centers, the foundations
and the human and material resources of the three
institutions for basic and clinical undergraduate
and postgraduate training, ad for training in
biomedical, clinical, transfer and public-health
research. This cooperation and the center’s position
as a university hospital will result in improvements
in health care and better coordination of research
in health sciences between the university
departments and the Hospital del Mar Institute for
Medical Research (IMIM).

schools in Coimbra and Porto (Portugal), and
two lecturers from the school have gone to Porto
University and the Tampere University of Applied
Sciences (Finland) with the aim of learning about
other higher-education systems, exchanging
experiences of innovation and teaching, and
establishing links for carrying out bilateral projects.

Community
The care work of our centers and professionals
constantly links us to the immediate community
and the scientific and teaching vocation seeks
projection of global interest. Separating professional
responsibility from social responsibility makes no
sense. For this reason, we encourage all kinds of
interaction and participation in campaigns that
